19.02.2009: SeasamTRAVELLER- passenger information system comes with new features

Seasam has delivered for Helsinki City Transport (HKL) and Helsinki Metropolitan Area Council (YTV) an update to SeasamTRAVELLER- passenger information system to enable to run battery-driven timetable displays.

SeasamTRAVELLER-system is used to manage and control nearly 400 time table displays in greatern Helsinki area based on LCD and LED technologies from different vendors. The monitors used in this project are exceptional, since they are operated and controlled remotely by DARC radio network and runs on Lithium batteries. The probable operating time for the batteries is 3 +years. These monitors are well suited for locations where availability of electricity is nonexistent or data communication is difficult to handle.
